Welcome to the NICMVPA website-
We are the non profit Illinois Chapter of the National MVPA -
a dedicated group of individuals who take great pride in restoring, preserving and displaying Military Vehicles. Our members participate in many events throughout the year, including monthly club meetings, parades, civic historic military displays / events, convoys and homecomings for our service men / women. Meetings - 2nd Tuesday of the Month.
Ownership of a Military Vehicle is NOT required. We welcome and encourage members who are interested in participating in club activities, assisting with restoration projects or driving vehicles in events. Be warned - "OD Fever" is contagious and difficult to cure.
The Northern Illinois Chapter of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association is the premier organization for the care, restoration, display, and historical knowledge for historic military vehicles in this area. We welcome all those who would like to get involved in the many activities the club sponsors and participates in, including parades, static displays, and other community events. You don’t need to own a vehicle to be involved, just a desire to learn more about them, and keep them rolling. For nominal yearly dues, you will have access to timely newsletters, monthly meetings, upcoming events, and the ability to assist other members with multiple vehicles by learning how to operate them and driving them to events. In addition if you are ever in a position to consider buying a historic military vehicle you will have the expertise and experience of our members to assist you in getting a vehicle worth the money. Additionally you will have members who can and will assist you in restoring your vehicle for participation in our events.
